Welcome to JL's 2Cents. This is where I have recorded my experiences and my journal of learning during my time as a student in pursuit of a Master of Library and Information Science degree.
Prior to being accepted into the University of Washington Online MLIS program, I took classes at Walla Walla Community College to explore various areas of interests in order to discover a new career path. Eventually, I realized that an MLIS from the UW iSchool would be a good fit for me. Though I had already applied to the online MLIS program, I decided to take LIB 110 Introduction to Information Resources: Research for the 21st Century through WAOL as one of my "exploration" classes during Winter Quarter 2008. As a result, I was all the more convinced that the Information School MLIS program was where I wanted to be, come fall quarter.
iSchool is an amazing institution comprised of an amazing community of people, and being an iSchool student has been an amazing journey. I hope you enjoy reading about it as much as I have enjoyed living it!
