QuestionPoint - Week 6

I am finally getting the hang of QP! I enjoyed this week more than ever. I worked independently and I am satisfied that I provided good help. One patron was looking for where she could get tutoring help for her statistics assignment. I could not help but put on my “tutor hat” in my response to her. Perhaps I gave more advice than help, but she seemed satisfied.

In trying to help a patron to find information on the “definition” of “No Child Left Behind,” which turned into needing information on “problems” with the “No Child Left Behind Act,” I remembered, when sitting in on one of her training sessions, Quill mentioned that CQ Researcher is one of her favorite places to start when doing research and that it usually provides a balance of opposing viewpoints on issues. At first, I could not remember the name of the site, but I looked through my notes and found it. I was able to point the patron to the URL and she was very thankful for the info.
